first time track with mbh headers
I really wasnt expecting a good time today we had steady 15-25mph winds and gusts up to 30mhp and the da was 600plus. I ran a best of 11.48 at 121.37mph on a 1.67sixty foot. good news is both tires can spin during burnout new posi on hand. This car is a new animal with having all this added power from the mbh headers. Hooking is tricky now its a animal with a stall convertor. its a step in the right direction at least i didnt go backwards. more to come. Only a couple of hard core racers there and they were 2mph off from the wind. yup a added 49ft pounds of torque added downlow from the headers made things tricky. I left early it rained as well. My act temps were 64 deg start of run 110deg end of run. it was 57 deg out. the drive home i really enjoy this new found power of the mbh headers hard to explain just get a set if you do not have.

island dragway in nj usually there is more slick cars there but due to the weather there were very few so traction was limited i prob should of waited to run but i was anxious and it was going to be a day to really set a good time but at least the car drove nice to the track and home.

You must have been pulling hard on the other lane at the end! What were you up against? He was only 3/10ths slower, but got killed on the mph!
