Weistec tune 211 E63

Anybody running a Weistec tune on a 211 E63? Looks like gains of 42whp with tune and filters. Looks to be a great value since a Renntech tune only adds 23 crank hp for around $1000 more.

We have done many 211 E63's and they run very strong. We have carried all of our research and development from our supercharger system tunes into our naturally aspirated tune. We recommend searching in the W204 C63 forum for a customer review on our tunes. Most of the 63 customers post in that section. Thank you guys!

42whp for a NA engine ? for real ? lol we guys with 55k motors get 52 crank hp max from any tuner (I could be wrong) dyno tune could be

different. Damn! it would be indeed great value if the real world results are as close to what you guys are posting.

Here is a dynojet dyno graph of a customer car. This is stock results on 91 octane and our tune on 91 octane. In stock form, this car ran a bit better than we usually see. On average the results on 91 octane are in the mid 390's HP. We hope this helps. Thank you.

42rwhp sounds pretty extreme for a 2007 E63 amg to acheive just by a tune. What about gas milage?? How bad is that effected? I average about 15-16mpg city and about 19-20mpg freeway.

If the variable cam timing is adjusted (4 cams) and if MB left some room on the tabel (they always do), then you can get some nice gains from tuning a N/A engine of this caliber.

Gas mileage is not effected if driven properly. Customers typically want to enjoy the new power an this will obviously have a negative effect on mileage.

We have done many M156 equipped AMG's and these gains are typical. When adding long tube headers and our tune they make anywhere from 475-490 HP depending on the octane level that is available at the pump. We hope this helps. Thanks!

I appreciate the information and the replys. Im sure the tune will also firm up shifting, change timing and A/F ratios.

- How does that effect the longevity of the transmission if the shifting is more firm?...also, with the added rear wheel hp (42) and tq, how does that effect longevity? (I know the 7-speed trans is not AS tough as the E55 5-speed).

- On hot days (or hotter than normal days or if going to the desert like Vegas or Havasu) if the tune leans out the fuel, what about detonation?

Sorry, I just have alot of questions and concerns, dont want to blow anything up or toast anything. I love my car and shes an expensive ***** to fix.

No problem at all. It is our pleasure to assist with this.

The tune will give you much more driver confidence, meaning the pedal feel is optimized and the car will have better pedal response. We also optimize parameters such as fueling and ignition timing. As long as you are running premium fuel (91 octane and higher) the car will run great with no signs of detonation at all. We test each and every product we sell in all climates and conditions to assure longevity of engine and transmission. As soon as air temperatures start to increase ignition timing and fueling will adjust to compensate for the change.

In regards to your transmission, it is nowhere near its limitation of power. We have made over 600 HP at the wheels through the same transmission on multiple cars and it holds up great. Check out this video of a Stage 2 Supercharged C63 with the stock transmission.

Thanks again!

Does the Weistec E63 tune affect transmission shift patterns or is the ECU tune separate like the E55? Adonis89's first question in his last post seems to lead that he thinks the Weistec tune will adjust shift parameters as well.
