2006 E55 vs 2007 E63

I find this post funny, considering 98% of the people on the road likely would not be able to tell the difference between an E55/E63 and would think it's same exact car.
Guess your car looks like a grandpa, too

Sir no need to hate. You are write about 98% don't know the difference between AMG vs non AMG. But if you had read my post correctly and understood it - the key word in there is "me" not other folks. It is a subjective comment similar to yours

Alright guys, it's Thanksgiving week, let's not get all hyped up. Who else is off the rest of the week after tomorrow?!
I'm thinking to go for a spin in the E320 in about an hour after I get off
KEEP IT LIGHTHEARTED, GUYS!

Other posts are extremely childish! Grow up fellas!...and if you wanna know the truth, some e63's (2007-2009) look like C cars. I still like them so def not hating here but I think the e55 with lip spoiler looks awesome! 2010 e63 and up are the coolest IMO.

It is well known and documented that no Mercedes produced between 2000-2006 is considered reliable. Except maybe the 2002 W210 since it was the last model year of production.
That was by far the worst era for reliability reputation of Mercedes cars. Forums are by no means the way to determine a cars reliability.
That said lots of early 63 motors needed cam replacement because they were sourced with soft metal for the cams, also the head bolts go bad. There is a TSA which explains why dealer techs see them the most. I had my car fixed under this TSA ($16k in work and parts), car has never been unreliable. Service is the most important part of reliability.
That said I have read of more blown 55 motors than 63 motors on this forum. Also 55 owners like to over boost their application which can cause failure because of cylinder #8. Get a VMI on the car, that's my advice, and remember the 55 is 8 years old, so bushing and suspension wear are not reflective of miles driven, but years old.

Wow this got a little out of control here. Like ArmoE55 said it's Thanksgiving week and whether you care or not it's a Holiday and a short week at least for the folks in the US. I'm about to go and pick up the E55 as a gift for myself cause I love me sooo much Thinking 4-5 months back I was planning on getting a 55" Samsung TV for Black Friday and look at what I'll end up with lol... Cheers and happy times to everyone! Thanks for all the input once again.

This d-bag again? I thought you were done with this thread, cool guy. Yea, your whopping $32K, first year 2007 E63 is worth so much more than a E55. There are low mileage 06s fetching for high $20s, some even breaking $30K still.

u can get every mod on a 63 N/A and u will get walked by a modded e55 unless u supercharge it. as for looks, ya i agree it looks better more aggressive. also everyone on this board did not buy their 55 for dirt cheap, they just choose the right option, the faster one !

People get so butt hurt on this forum it is UNREAL. LMAO
All of it over a car making more unusable power on the street, Chicago streets are so dirty if you make 200WHP you will start a smoke show.
And just for technical sake No Replacement for Displacement, 6.2 W/Blower Vs a 55K the 63 Series will win every time mod for mod as long as it has a blower. They have a SLS twin turbo making 850hp+ on a 63 motor. Sure it is more expensive, it is newer technology.
I think the 55k drive train is ideal for the G55 and off-roading, all that TQ would come in handy.
