Boom! Who can top this?

Fuel Economy King!

This could turn into a pretty cool thread. Ideas would include photo evidence of highest and lowest outside temps, worst observed gas mileage over an actual distance (i.e. not idling/stuck in traffic), largest repair bill (lol, lots of us), largest number of passengers at once, etc. Photo evidence would be nice.

Here's a claim for highest external temp, but I'm sure someone can beat this:

lol I got closest to

23.75 mpg and after that it just seems like it was forced to stay at that

and one of you is saying 27 ? lol damn! that means I can do better. It's so hard

though, at that mileage if I break cruise for anything and go over 2500 rpm

that's it , mpg efficiency starts falling down.

I realized later on my computer that the pic came out so bad.

Look at my dash and you'll see that is covering almost a hundred miles and over 70mph. Started at sea level in San Diego and drove over the mountains on I-8, cresting 4,100 ft more than once.

I wanted to try it on the way back, except pull the supercharger pulley belt, lol.
Oh, that is with the FIXED pulley, also.

You most likely aren't getting this super hi 27 MPG, if you have had ANY larger Fuel Injector mods? It totally screws the MPG Calculation up. My best MPG Pre Injector mods was 19-20 MPG for V12 TT is indeed healthy, but Post Injector mods I see 23-24 MPG lol it's not correct & you need to do the old school math, IE measure exact amount of gallons used for a set distance etc.

Yeah, I know. Last time I measured, it was about 1.5mpg off of indicated.
I did see 24.5 after header install and a drive up to LA on stock injectors.

I had my car saying 32-33 on a trip once doing 55-60 but for some reason it seemed to use a lot more gas. Must of been those bigger injectors fooling it but it was fun to tell people look at this pic of the MPG my car gets.

Drove from Sac to Modesto and back. I dont remember if it was 65 or 70. with a fixed pulley thats probably good, even if you are slightly on the boost..

I don't have any records as much as firsts. I was the first in the US and perhaps the world to figure out (with my mechanic best friend) that SLR camshafts would fit inside the E55. We started such a run on SLR cams that Benz corporate called my mechanic after doing to research.

Benz Corp" We understand that you have installed an SLR camshaft in an E55. You understand that this voids his warranty IMMEDIATELY!?"

Buddy, "His warrany long expired. He can do whatever he wants with his car and it makes us extra money on service/parts"

Benz Corp, "I cant let you know go without asking one question for our engineers. They really want to know.........did it work????? How's it running?

Mercedes/AMG global shutdown SLR cam sales shortly after

Probably the stinkiest E55. My cats were really going and my 4yo said, daddy your car is farting and smells really bad. Can you get the car to stop farting..... After putting new cats, back to no stinking car.

I left the tranny in 'C' mode for the longest time... 14 consecutive days. Yes, without manually downshifting, either.

Can anybody top that?

I'm not sure I could do that for 14 minutes, let alone days.
