Happy Holidays from BIP your M113K tuning specialist. Wanting to show our customer appreciation this Holiday Season, so BIP is offering WA5A 5 speed transmission tuning (TCU Tuning) for $525 shipped in the continental US .
This is a new product line we are launching via group buy. Our v3 CDT TCU remapping is available for all MBs and AMGs using the WA5A 5 speed series of transmissions including supercharged 5.5L V8, N/A 5.5L V8, biturbo 5.5L and 6.0L v12s (600MB/65AMG), supercharged 3.2L V6s, etc.
Because customer service comes first, with the best transmission tuning on the market running a close second
, we have decided to make this a running GP so that we will keep no one waiting, even for the initial 5 customer group purchase minimum—meaning there’s no reason to wait to modify your transmissions ability to handle the extra power and torque your ECU tune and mechanical modifications have increased. Just as with ECU tuning certain maps must be changed when power and more specifically torque output is increased over stock, we identify and remap more pertinent maps than anyone else we are aware of. Remapping of the transmissions stock file to match the changes made to your ECU will increase driveline part durability and longevity while also yielding significant performance increases; including up and downshift quickness, increased paddle shift responsiveness in manual mode, sharpened throttle response, a change in the actual shift point (if done via ECU only the car will not shift at the new raised limit, it must be done in both controllers), we will also preserve the transmission internals (i.e. clutch packs) by modifying not only line pressure, but clutch pack volume fill rate, as well as a few dozen related maps.
With up to 40% of the Overall TQ management split between ECU and TCU in these vehicles (Anything with a MB/AMG 5 speed WA5A variant transmission) is found in the TCU, the gains are easily verified on the dyno, using a VBox or at the track. We tune not only WOT (wide open throttle) but PT (part throttle) as well so regardless of how you drive your beast you will always feel the difference. Changes in drivability and torque output rival that of high quality ECU tuning as the TCU similarly controls half the driveline. We also can calibrate the rear end gear in the EGS, if you chose to upgrade your ring and pinion to a steeper gear for increased torque multiplication. If you have an aftermarket stall which is higher than 2600rpms, then you really want the tune to receive optimal performance.
EGS52 and EGS53 Tuning time will vary depending on our daily workload and the method of return shipping speed you select. If possible we will remap and reship the TCU the same day, worst case the turnaround will be 2-3 days. For those not wanting to wait or that are unable to wait we do have spare TCUs available that you can simply plug and play with No Downtime at an additional cost. Shipping will be via UPS Ground.

Any before and afters at the track on this ? On my stock GTO there was a verified 2/10s gain at the track tuning the tranny only. Would this fix the issue some of us have with not being able to do a burn out with the brakes on ? Any kind of driveabilty issues at all when doing this mod ? interested.

if all goes well i will have track numbers tomorrow. i did not try a burnout i always do one in dyno mode anyway the way i race it. No issues so far the car feels way better. i even specified in mine not to make the shifts too harsh since i may do a mechanical valve body in the future. I chose them because they really know about transmissions i tune sct so im familiar what needs to be done. so if my track near me opens sunday i will have some track number despite my traction issue now with the drag radials.

1)Your track times will definitely improve, especially your traps. We will raise the rpm it shifts, and the shift time it takes to engage the next gear is greatly reduced. Depending on how aggressive you want your shifting to be, is how we will tune it.
2)If you can, take a pic of your EGS (TCU) box, and send it to me. Based on what the model number is, will depend on whether you can do a standing burnout without having to put the car in dyno mode. If you have the incorrect model number for a standing burnout, we do have the correct TCU available, and along with our tune, all you will have to do is turn the traction control button off below the radio.
3)The only drivability issues is that you will be blwoing your tires off the car since the TQ MGMT is adjusted big time

It is located behind the carpet of the passenger floor board.
1) Simply unclip your board rug
2) Reach up under the glove box and you will feel the edge of the carpet near the fire wall.
3) Pull back the carpet towards the front passenger seat.
4) You may have to remove a thing precut piece of foam
5) You should then see a metal plate with three black plastic nuts that are tighten the metal plate down.
6) Remove the plastic nuts, and wiggle the metal plate up and back.
7) You should then see the TCU black box which is also bolted down.
8) Remove the nuts or bolts that hold the TCU in place.
9)Unclip the harnesses out of the TCU box

I agree, I'm gonna get these guys to hook mine up too. Stock gear+tall tire+stock TCU tune+aftermarket converter = CVT experience in traffic ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
It should be a million times nicer to drive and faster too with the shift firmness increased and shift rpm outside the stall speed of the converter.

Ok so is this finally the long lost wish being granted for me? I have the EC TCU tune and I like all aspects of it except it still shifts sloppy. Is this tune able to adjust the ferocity of the shift in normal 'S' mode? I just want this thing to shift crisper and without the minute hesitation between 2-3 we currently experience.

Based off your mod list in your sig along with a correctly tuned TCU, you will not have a problem homes. Adding our 3000rpm stall, and our TCU tune for an aggressive shift pattern, you will snap your neck like a prize fighter on HBO
