Front Control Arm Bushings
I have a question that somewhat concerns me. I got the front control arm bushings replaced in May of this year. I just got my car serviced (B) at a different place and they are now telling me the control arms are bad. I have recently noticed there is some shimmying in the left front tire over 75mph. I haven't gotten an alignment done yet and I bought the car used at 63,500. Now I am at 73,500 miles. The mechanic who just serviced the car told me there are two sets of control arms. The people that replaced the control arms in May carry a 1 year warranty (or 12,000 miles). Is it possible that they replaced a different set of control arms/bushings than what is now broke or is there actually one set of control arms and/or bushings?
Thanks,
Bry

There is a control arm and a tension arm. Both have bushings that can develop play.
You can see the control arm is part #100 in the diagram, the tension arm is part #140. The large bushing on both can develop play, a long with the ball joints.
