Slight confusion on Comand Unit
Hello all, quick question:
I have an 04 E55 with the following as per my VIN decoding sheet.:
What my setup looks like:
No AUX:
I found this Comand Unit:
Is this a simple plug and play in my car given the above? Or do I need to do many more modifications for the harness/etc? I'm assuming this should be a simple plug and play, and then all I need is an OEM AUX kit.
I have an 04 E55 with the following as per my VIN decoding sheet.:
- SA044 - NEW TELEMATICS GENERATION NTG 2.5
- SA521 - RADIO AUDIO 50 USA (WITHOUT NAVIGATION)
- In-dash 6 dsic CD changer
- Bluetooth
- Harman Kardon audio system
- No AUX in the glovebox or anywhere else.
- No Navigation

Have an '03 with the same head unit and there is no aux input. I also was told the command is plug-n-play along with some minor coding in star but never got around to installing the head unit I purchased.

No....my car came stock with navi .....I now have navi and video in motion from the euro command. You lose satellite Radio with the swap but now can play DVDs and can play mp3 CDs ...that picture is of my stock 04 command with navi, had it removed today.

I bought a OEM navi comand from an 06 and a aux cable to run to my glove box. It's all plug and play and no star is needed. Took me like 25-30 mins to complete. I then sold my audio 50 on eBay for 195 bucks so it only cost me about 50 bucks to switch.
