Why isnt anyone interested in my BBS LM-R's?

When i was looking for these wheels (before I broke down and purchased new) it seemed several people were looking as well.

Someone take these off my hands! Whole packaged installed at 56,500 on my car, car currently sits with 59,200! $4500 shipped or make an offer! Would even trade for a set of 18" BBS LM's or other high end 5x112 wheels in 18x8.5...

I think they look bad *** and wanted them when you posted the Sale thread months ago, but they were out of my price range.

Not selling because too expensive. For reference I sold my near perfect 19" LM's $2650 several months ago. You may eventually unload them for your asking price but don't hold your breath.

Great looking wheels, however, the price is a bit high for used. Good friend of mine just picked up a mint set on craigslist for $2000 with tires.

Well, I understand that they are not in everyone's price range.. .But 2000 is not reasonable. These are not LM's they are much more difficult to find (especially used)... I think they look quite a bit better than LM's personally. Oh well, I'll find somoene that wants them eventually! Thanks for the input. It also doesnt hurt to make an offer guys.. Just dont put a 2 in front of it ;-)

RIMS ARE HOT!!! This is exactly the reason I hate modding cosmetics, since you will NEVER get your money back.

You are asking way too much for them. On the used market, mods don't exactly hold their value.

The answer is simple: if you want/need them sold asap, you will have to drop your price significantly to make it a more lucrative deal for someone. Otherwise, keep wondering why they aren't selling. Lol.

Find me some LM-R's used that I can base my price off of then...because I know how much they are new.

Some constructive comments in here as well as some dreamers comments

This place is a joke.
They are only worth what someone is willing to pay. Obviously you haven't priced them to meet this requirement or they would be sold. The cost of them "new" has little bearing on what they are worth now. This holds true for most aftermarket mods.

Dreamer comments? nobody is going to pay close to 5 grand for a used set of bbs wheels. There are plenty of deals all over the place for authentic bbs/dpe/hre/work wheels that are less than half the cost new in mint condition. Also, there are tons of companies with great looking reps priced NEW for about 1k.
Reprice your stuff and it'll get sold.
Great wheel though, good taste.

Some of you arent reading the add correctly. It's 4500 dollars obo for a complete set of wheels and tires that have a little over 2k miles. These wheels are $4800 new on tire rack, plus shipping, plus $900 in tires, plus mounting and balancing. I realize as these cars get cheaper and cheaper, more and more people with smaller budgets will be looking to modify them... That doesnt make these wheels any less valuable. Enjoy your BBS replicas ;-)

E 63S Wagon Renntech, E55 Renntech, SL65, SL 55 030, ML, bunch of old ones--they come, they go...
No offense but...

the new price might as well be 45 thousand dollars. It means nothing today. You dont have a set of new wheels and tires for sale. This is a used set with about 3k miles, and those of us who know these cars know what tire wear is like at your ride height, so...
This is one of the main reasons that I quit buying 5/6/7000 wheel sets. The LM is one of, if not THE most beautiful and highest quality wheels ever made. But the real marketplace for used wheels doesn't exist at $4/5k. It's still tough at 3k. A guy who can afford a set of wheels that's 4 or 5 grand is going to buy a new set, with a fresh warranty and the tire brand he wants. It's a beautiful setup, but you're going to find the going very tough, especially here where so many of the buyers are so ch..., uh, frugal.

Instead of being superficially critical of my comments, try to actually see what I am saying. I know what BBS LM-Rs are. I know what genuine quality wheels are worth. I've probably owned more sets of wheels than you've done oil changes on your car, so I do happen to know what I am talking about.

But, see below to the explanation to your problem:

You made a thread asking about the obvious and you don't like what you're hearing. That's reality. Instead of getting defensive and looking for support from other members telling you what you want to hear, you can either adjust your price or sit on them. It really is that simple and no further discussion is needed.

Can't compare the price of replicas to original wheels. That's illogical. A buyer looking at reps has no idea why the originals are worth more, nor a clue as to what he's paying for. Apples and oranges.

These could be on a Lamborghini or a Corolla, the only thing that determines what they're worth is the market and not the owner's pre-conceived notions.

Anyways, nice wheels. GWLS.

Well probably the same reason I will have trouble selling my HREs with brand new tires for $3500ish...The used wheel market is tough for $3k + setups....

As somebody who has LMs
The LM-R retails for cheaper than the LM on tirerack.
You are simply asking too much
For $4500, i would go a different route.

Hey you asked.

I'll reiterate the above. You've got a set of wheels that many folks would like to have. In the world of used goods the market will dictate the price. If what you've got for sale is priced right, the wheels will sell. If the price is too high, you get to keep them. Good luck!!

I wouldn't normally post my ad in someone else's ad, but since you asked, I don't think I am breaking any rules here.

Here you go. Here is a set that I am selling for $3,000.

https://mbworld.org/forums/wheels-ti...authentic.html

In reality, I am selling 6 wheels (4 8.5" and 2 9.5") for $4250 or the 4 8.5" for $3000.

Your wheels are the wrong bolt pattern and wrong offset Which is why i did not purchase them. Mine have MUCH more aesthetically pleasing offsets, and sizes... Not to mention 4 next to brand new Nitto tires... I'd say your price is more crackhead than mine.
