Jesus its fighting to hook up in the triple digits in that video If only the W211 was 4matic like the new E63 I can't even imagine how fast they would be. The new E63 4matic with a turbo upgrade and the works will be stupid fast. I see 1000hp and actually being able to hook up, 9 sec car EASY.

I saw this setup couple of years before on an SLR and it was really fast, i recall more than 700rwhp.

but never saw it or heard about it for a while.

And I would need to see it backed up by more than a single pass! I've had and seen some crazy time slips from faulty timing equipment to birds flying through the beams at the finish...

Yeah running a 8.6 is the weight of these cars is into 4 digit power level and our stocky suspension isn't going to get the job done. 8.6 in the 1/8 maybe

I would love to see it but there's no indications this is happening. Random people spreading rumors doesn't count. The acceleration video on the first page doesn't represent an 8 second car and the car has full interior and no cage. No track is going to take on the liability of allowing a car to run 8's without a licensed driver and the car not being fully prepped and caged!

So this thread gets started in December where the op states they're still working on tuning, pics show stock driveline components that wouldn't support a 1.3 60ft time, zero weight reduction, and no roll cage or any other NHRA required mods to run at that time/speed...and you want us to believe a random time slip from September???
