So 2 posts above I posted pictures, and you'll find that my old light is halogen, but what you don't see is that it's converted to HID with a ballast kit.
However, remove the kit and it's all back to stock.
The new lights are exactly these:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/2003-2009-M...9X9Z9m&vxp=mtr
But I think I'm going to have to sell them because I am ordering ones from Gary Lo that will be plug, play, facelift, and converted all in one- apparently.

The Ebay item you purchased is not as described so you may be able to file a dispute. Looking at the connectors, the Ebay lights you bought are for 07-09 and not 03-06 as is claimed in the Ebay description. It's worth a shot at least.
It's a bit of a pain to convert but it's doable. I have done this a couple of times now and gone from Xenon back to Halogen without issues, but some coding is required.

Happy 2018 ~~
Thanks for the sharing, recently my 2005 pre-facelift E350's headlight with Bi-xenon and AFS were broken, after read your post, I decide to do the same retrofit with you, but I got some questions:
1) How about can bus connector? did you connect the two CAN BUS wire between headlight and vehicle?
2) If you do so, is that work perfect? the new headlight can be recognized by DAS/Xentry system ?
3) How did you calibration the new headlight ?
Thanks again.

hi mate, I'm trying to upgrade my 2010 w204 halogen headlights 10 pin to 2011 w204 facelift xenon headlights 14 pin, getting confused with wire colors! any chance that you could help :-)
I wanna cut the wires of 10 pin adaptor and join them to 14 pin cables? I'll be appreciated if you can help. Regards, Stephen.

Re-uploaded all the images since they were all broken. Fortunately, I still had the pictures. If someone could make a PDF and link it that'd be great. For some reason, I cannot.

Canbus?
Hello, does anyone know where to tap into canbus? I have everything else wired up but I don’t know where to wire the canbus wires to. I’m not familiar with canbus and I know it says CAN-C but I can’t figure out where that is. Thank you!

That's what I don't get. How has this entire thread gone by without any information on the most crucial part of this retrofit.
I know the central gateway for CanBUS is located under the steering wheel column, but how exactly does one setup the wiring to pins S2-4 S2-5 from there?
I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

There are several canbus points in the car, my guess would be you'd have to use what's already in use so the correct control module can do it's job. There's another connection point under the dash on passenger side near the center console, one in the drivers side where the cabling runs along the door, and one in the trunk on the driver's side near all the electronics. Since it's a bus, you don't need discrete wiring points necessarily, just need to get the signals to the bus. I can't remember the coloring but if you use a DMM to probe voltage it'll be obvious which is CAN+ and CAN-.
