AMG: Once you own one, you can't go back.

Awesome post. I too, have owned many performance cars over the years and nothing compares with AMGs. It's the total package, brutal tire roasting torque one minute and cruising in luxury on a 2000 mile trip the next, not to mention sexy as hell. This car just does it all, my next car will be a CLS 63 S 4MATIC bi-turbo. Long live AMG!
BTW, I too swore I'd never own another black vehicle, but could NOT find a silver or white E55 with keyless go and pano roof anywhere on the west coast. Ended up "test driving" a black one that met my requirements and you know how the rest of the story goes, lol...

2020 MB-AMG GLC43
Great post!
I used to say my excuse for owning the E550, was that the E63 didn't come in 4Matic. Now the 2014 does... I suspect I will be joining the club when I find a lightly used E63s in a couple years :-)
I had to modify my exhaust to make me feel like I have the E63... Not quite the same, but still fun.
Your story may be very expensive for me!

There is one particular 2010 E63 that I am currently back and forth on, and the only hangup is that the warranty just expired (which is a major downer). But....the big pluses are that the car is immaculate, has the Performance Package that I must have this time, and the car has all of the books, records, keys, window sticker, etc, and is being sold by the original owner. So the wife and I are trying to weigh the pluses and minuses on this one, against spending more on one that is within warranty. Honestly, if this particular car was not so well optioned ($107k sticker), and so fastitiously maintatined, we would not even be looking at it, since we have almost always bought cars either new, or within 2 years old so that they had warranty.
