Urban much respect it's all in fun . Gotta say I have admired your ride since I showed up here, but I'm not a brown noser lol. Took me awhile to make a username etc. but you all are cool people man. The CTS-V is OK style wise but I see more more women in CTS's... It's their car man they just said shiat we have to make a fast luxury saloon and that was Chevrolet's only option the CTS.. For real what's a Chevrolet , I'm ignorant lol

It's all good, it don't matter what is said because when you are seeing them taillights I am all smiles And for as many people that don't like it, there are twice as many that do. I just had someone today I didn't know want me to pop the hood and start it for them. Even females, took a pic with some palm trees I posted today on Facebook. Her comment "I want." Haha
Hmm, maybe she was talking about me instead of the car?...... Nah it was probably just the car Ahh hell, I just realized you said it was a female car, no wonder she wanted it. LOL

I don't need to convince anyone, I know it is an awesome car and so do the other 3 or 4 members on here who went from an E55 or C63 to a V, I just happen to have both which I think one other member on here also still has an E55 as well. And every single person who has ridden in the car will tell you the same which have also rode in my E55. Everyone loves the V (not vagina) and is literally always talking about it. This may sound crazy but there are other great cars out there besides an E55, I know it is a lot to take in but it is true......
But back to this thread, I found it a little interesting that there was a "race" up to only 60mph and the cars were also already going since they drove through the intersection, so what 20 or 30mph up to 60 that is hardly even remotely a race.

Wud up :)
Thanks so much Knight! Love the rear diffuser on the car you got. When I picked up my E she had a Carlson carbon fiber front diffuser if that's what it's called and small carbon Carlson rear spoiler. The clear was going to crap on them so I took them off. Just wanted to know if you installed the rear diffuser and if so how tough is it? I just want it to look clean like yours, not cheesy.

Come on Craig, you must be running the basically stock ones in your modded to the gills gutted E! And hey, at the end of the day isn't the Benz "just a Chrysler?"
Don't be a hater, especially when you are a Ford fan! Lol
Oh and I can say the member "AMG E Power" can chime in on an event of running a less than 700hp V in his E that made 500.

Remember Daimler bought Chrysler greatly improving their products. And then sold after loss. Come on now.

Although YOUR CTS-V would probably get raped nicely by some of our fellow members here with mods and what have you, every time a member claims to have a beat a CTS-V you jump behind your "well if you ran this one", or "no way you beat it stock It runs fully modded 211 times", or "the ctsv with just this and this and a dick can go 9s", etc.
Now I realize you are a fellow 211 owner so I will just politely ask you, in the interest of the forums, to stfu. Basically.
Your mouth is writing checks your car cant cash.
You V Craig... I'd put my money on the 211. And it's even better when and if you ever ran him cause his E55 isn't slow like yours. You know the one you "went back in power with" to make your CTS-V look better when you ran It lol

So go ahead and keep talking about other caddys and trying to get them to fight your battles. You'd be in my rear view. Hissstory.

Like I said in previous posts, on an given race any given day you might lose traction in a CTS-V and lose A race period. Same goes for the E. Again fellas I know those cars are superior for now as well as they should be for a car designed specifically to beat ours.. I've never said these cars were slow but you can put a Corvette engine in most anything and fly. E's are real luxury sport cars not something thrown together with a big dumb motor to beat a brand that's handed Chevrolet their arces for decades...

LOL, you are some quality entertainment.
Would it break your heart if I told you my first and only time to the track 4 months ago during the summer while running 93 octane at 4300+ lbs (full weight) on stock 19" wheels I went faster than Craig ever has in cold weather, gutted, no exhaust on car, on race gas or e85 while on little light wheels and skinnies? Would that ruin your day?
Sucks you have to bring someone else in to it to "fight your battle," but maybe you should know what you are talking about if you are going to run your mouth. So break out that check book big boy, make it out to CASH.

The V has more power and potential since it's 6.2 + SC but it's just ugly. (IMO) Compare to the W211 with 63 conversion, Caddy is just not my cup of tea. To be fair, the V should compare to the new 55TT or even the 55TT AWD... those car can run into 9's with turbo upgrade.

This place is a joke.
Should anyone even compare a mid/high-teens $$ E55 with a sub 30's $$ CTS-V anyway? The pricing on the E55 makes it probably one of the best bang-for-the-bucks cars around. Can you even buy an older V for $17k?
Nowadays you can go as fast as your wallet allows.

My next car will likely be a V but damn I don't hit the MBworld w211 section to read about cts -v's. It just kind of reminds me of the 03 cobra guys trolling LSX forums back in the day. We get it - they are uber awesome!

I am on e85 on the street and track, so that is a constant there.
What was your time, trap and 60 ft?

Why do so many of these threads end up in pissing matches or my car is better than yours, blah blah blah ??? The e55 and CTS-V are nice cars, but it is not like they are the holy grail of cars....
OP- Glad you had a fun run with a CTS-V....

Best time 10.75, best trap 130.8, best 60ft 1.66.
10.75 was at 129.8 with 1.66, DA was 1450ft. I also have a small 1.7 gallon tank under hood that had no ice in it.
Room for improvement in the 60 since I didn't even really make tires smoke on burnout after looking at video and people regularly do 1.5s with same wheel and tire and power level then of course I could also go to a skinny front wheel and smaller 17" diameter light rear wheel and bigger wall tire. I also run less boost now so no timing pull at back half and went from 637 to 674whp with 40whp more through entire rpm band.
I expect 10.4 maybe 10.3 next visit to track at 134 full weight on stock 19" wheels just like last time.
And to the people crying about having to read about a ctsv, news flash you don't have to read it, move along to a different thread. In case you didn't know though this thread is about one made by someone who doesn't have one. These things happen, it is a car forum, people talk about cars and compare to other cars.
