The kits are junk....most of what they / he sell(s) is rebranded stuff...if you want a great IC tank, just go to the guy that has been making them for many years :

My only advice is to ensure the return line back to the tank is positioned so that the water that is entering the tank is below the tank level, having the tank in this position you can hear the water returning to the tank through the vent system.
The first time we fitted and trialed it required a toilet break every ten minutes LOL

It would be like trying to pump out a pool with a fish tank pump 10 feet under water. The pump cannot produce enough pressure to pump the water vertically 10 feet, now if moved to a depth of 1 foot under water although not efficient (lol) it can now effectively pump the water vertically 1 foot and out of the pool. Don't ask me how I know....

OR
Are you saying the tank in the video is loud because of placement of the return line on top of the water level? If this is the case;I agree that is obnoxious in a daily driver whether it be in the trunk or under the hood!
?
I must ask with a bilge in the tank like BIP's Design what do you wire the Bilge to? In line with the OEM Pumps power and ground, so when OEM is on so is bilge feeding OEM?
And to "abc" vendors if your reading this:
A: Customer service and word of mouth is #1 in a business this thread has caused me not to purchase your product, nothing against you or your company but previous customers opinions and experience whatever that may have been has lost you a new customer...
B: Your product even though the only one of its kind (CURRENTLY

C: Look at G**y @ S*****R his customer service is A1 although sometimes slow, his products are A+ and his prices are beyond competitive, I firmly believe this is why he generate so much business from all kinds and all forums

However you stated you were designing a hood mounted tank which I helped to test on my own car and with the filter box removed and a tank fitted in that location initially we could hear the noise of the water behind the dash coming through the vent system.
I was pointing this out so you do not make the mistake we did having to remove the tank cut open and make changes to the inlet pipework system to lessen the noise, my car is a DD as well.
My post was trying to be helpful to you as a forum member and not to be drawn into a conversation regarding other vendors products which is not relevant to my own experience or yours if you are designing your own tank.

To be clear, Donnie does not make these. I have asked Donnie myself and he does not know how to make these ... yet ... sounds like someone may be working with him to make these though.
The under hood tank is not really big enough. I had read it can hold about 2+ gallons
I am interested in a trunk tank but don't want to lose my spare. Donnie had made one that allowed spare to be kept for someone, but he could not find the drawings. After making measurements, it seemed that the Rule pump would not fit well in there. I don't have time to research it and develop one myself right now so looking for decent off the shelf solution. Donnie is a great guy .. wish I had more time and $$ to develop something with him
The KC integration idea seems like a good one ... but I didn't see much info last time I checked.
Subscribing here ...

2 gallons is plenty big enough, the KC element on mine is a very simple HE coil inside the tank, my thoughts would be to improve this by fitting inside the tank a simple plate heat exchanger to improve efficiency, however the car sat in the shop for 3 months mocking up the tank installs removal refitting running different pipelines and so on, its time i enjoyed the beast for a bit
