Problem with DIY AUX on Audio 20? Different Board than the rest??
Hello everyone.
I've been reading up on this amazing forum for a very long time but haven't made a post yet.. until now
ive searched numerously and found links to DIY's on youtube and on here how to install AUX on Audio 20, my car is an 03 E240 with Audio 20? ( tape deck, and 6 cd changer )
Although the circuit board looks very different than all the other write ups i have seen.
Can someone comfirm which 2 points (L and R) need to be soldered in for the AUX Cable??
Nope, found nothing so far. I understand that this unit is one of the very first that was launched with the 211 and has been followed by better, more compatible versions. Thats why its very hard to find any post or information related to this one, believe me, I tried. I didn't want to mess with those two connectors cause I didn't want to screw anything up before I knew what I was doing, so thats still a mystery .
I am planning on swapping the current CDC unit with a Chinese one designed specifically for 211. Its android based and has many cool features, plus its comparatively cheaper.
ah right... yes I saw that chinese radio however I wouldn't trust it, usually android devices during time need new update firmwares etc. and from an unknown producer like this I am not sure if they are going to release updates... so I would be worried that it would crash every 10 minutes. I have also noticed that there is another port in the radio, any idea what is that for?

This is my stock Audio System:
Hey mate, did you end up working the aux install out? I've got the same unit and also can't work out which place to solder aux cables.
