Bi-Xenon headlight went out. Question on replacement bulbs.
Well my driver bulb first started turning a pink color which I couldn't understand at first but I guess that was it's slow way of burning out. Now it just flickers on and off at random. So I went to look for a replacement bulb but I have no idea which one to get. I've never owned an HID in my life so I was just trying to figure out if these bulbs would work :

MAXLUX HID Xenon Bulbs D2C (D2S/D2R) 6000K (1 Pair, Diamond White) : Amazon.com : Automotive MAXLUX HID Xenon Bulbs D2C (D2S/D2R) 6000K (1 Pair, Diamond White) : Amazon.com : Automotive

If these would work I would be getting the 6000k. I know they are cheap and maybe not the best quality but I figure i'll keep it cheap for now to make sure it is the bulb thats bad.

I have the same issue. Passenger side is turning pink. Doesn't flicker or anything but
isn't white , I need replacement too I assume ?

Not all HID bulbs are equal. Avoid no name cheap ones.

Stick with Osram, Phillips, or Morimoto. All are available for purchase here: www.theretrofitsource.com

Yup, D2S.

No problem. It's best to replace both at the same time to keep the output identical left to right. I bought the Morimoto 5000k D2S and absolutely love them. HUGE improvement from the stock bulbs that were in my car from 2004!

turning pink are early signs of bulb going out ?

Can anyone confirm if these will fit ? These are listed as 55w and not as 35w but since we have projector lenses I reckon 55w won't be a problem ??

I was about to buy the philips from the common replacement parts thread but shipping isn't available for Canada lol

Also these are only $50 for both and I've heard nothing but good about this product.

Get the 35W version. I had the 55W capable bulbs in my OEM setup (which runs at 35W) and the light output was very dim. I put the dedicated 35W ones in and it resolved all issues.

Aight thanks. Just placed an order for the 35W of the same bulb above. Have my fingers

crossed cuz the stock HID's aren't as sharp as the Bimmers or TLs, I hope it'll improve

them some what.

I do have 3000K fog HIDs for harsh weather but hopefully this will improve the stock

headlights.

The CBIs with a set of clear lenses is what i have planned after im done with the retrofit on my subaru. With the 319 package it should be as good as it gets.

Solid find man. I already bought the cheaper set for now. They actually look great and I am pretty happy with the color and quality.
