Such retrofits rarely are, but I hope it is simple enough.

Only suggestion I have is disconnect the battery while doing a steering wheel swap. You don't have to but it's a good idea.

I ordered the air bag from uk and steering wheel from europ




got my air bag today and there is a chip on the up arrow button so the white arrow is not in a perfect arrow shape... it was advertised as new ... I sent seller a msg and will see what happens ......... grrr




and on the ebay site my wheel is not even in shipping yet and seller is not responding ... paid on feb 5th

so I got a 2010 SL63 air bag and a 2010 SL63 steerin wheel with black alcantara.


now just waiting for the button to come in. then ill update on funtions and pictures of install.

I know no one cares but ....


I figured it out. its installed with all funtions working including paddle shift... BUT
the horn is not working. Im sure after I find some diagrams it's possible.


BTW the steering wheel is EXACT same size as stock but thicker ... so school bus guy should swallow his words..

not a lot of work... its pretty straight forward... just sourcing the wheel and bag was hard and expensive...


and also have to figure out about horn in abit.

yes its plug n play. my car is an 05 tho. ive heard rumors that pre 05s are not going to work but not 100% sure.


you know ...even for me was straight up reading and guessing ... I took a chance and it turn out alright.

sorry bro... been busy with life... haven't had a chance... its annoying that I cant honk a ppl when they don't go on green tho..




im getting a facelift soon too ...so ill seriously look into the horn right after.
