Stupid Trunk
So might trunk doesn't close by using the button. I left the trunk open for 20-30 while working on it and ever since, doesn't close. Any ideas? I pulled the fuses and battery but doesn't re-sync

Trunk doesn't like you period. Lol
Yo try hitting that button under it multiple times, than lock unlock with remote and manually shut it than open it than press the button again.

Did you hole the button for 5 seconds? Also, use the switch on the door to open it, and hold the switch until its fully opened, then hold 5 more seconds

I did hold the button, when the motor makes the noise like its closing but doesn't work. What switch???

Don't mean to thread jack, but mine doesn't open via the key fob, but only the door button. Any ideas?

I had this problem also an I took the car to the dealers, my sa said the trunk module needed to be resets/ recalibrated.

Idk I figured it was my sa running his mouth but all I can say now is my trunk works.

I need this calibration guide. Mine did exactly same. I thought the motor was bad so I have been opening/closing manually. It's really hard to open and close manually though.

05 E55 AMG, E320 CDI, Turbo E46 M3,IS300 2JZGTE,VQ35 Turbo Maxima, Mercedes 300D
It is likely you need to de-normalize and normalize your trunk. It is in the TLC control unit in DAS. I am not aware of a way to do it without the DAS ... the holding the DOOR switch open for additional 5-10 seconds after trunk open and holding it closed for 5-10 seconds after closing may be a possible way . I ran into a similar issue when I installed my trunk closer.

Mine did the same thing, and it fixed itself after a couple days, maybe a week. Never gave me any more trouble.
