You can do what the previous owner did to mine when they had it and just screw the screws into the bumper cover and bend the tag to fit the curve. Gotta say what a moron . Some people, but this is my 2nd w211 and the first did not have the tag holder either. So when I saw the pic above of the holder, I wonder if the holes in my cover are really for that and that was just missing. Either way, in the process of getting them filled in and resprayed.

Suggestion----- Use BLACK ZIP ties to tie it to the lower black grille. Fits in nicely below the bumper. (dremel the tag if you have to make it not as tall). (That is a crime to tamper with the tags like that so careful, just keep it in perspective and you should be fine. Just a thought. Trying to help keep the car clean looking.

What about a tow hook license plate mount. Put it on when you need it, take it off when you don't.
