Turn Signal Switch
has anyone had an issue with the actual lever? Mine is clicking and malfuncitons...When I put the signal on it is fine...I turn..still good...When it clicks to reset..its loud and sometimes turns on the other signal as it pops back to the neutral position.
I did a few searches and didn't see anything, but I coul dbe searching wrong...turn signal brought up like 5000 returns..most having nothing to do with turn signals, LOL.

This is usually attributed to the SCM breaking, but I have seen the combination switch break as well. If this continues the broken piece of the SCM can break the tab off of the combination switch as well.

How much of a pain is removing the steering wheel? I have a puller, but have bad luck when removing steering wheels, LOL. Last time was in my 86 Chevy and the bearings literally rolled out. This one I have to worry about the air bag...and whatever else is in there...

There is no puller required for this job. You will need: 10mm allen, T-30 torx(mid length), pocket screwdriver, and a T-15 torx. It is a fairly simple job.

I would disconnect the battery as a precaution first ... don't want to set off the airbag. Airbag much easier to remove on this car than other cars ..

To replace just the turn signal switch is a b1tch, every part from the entire steering column switch has to come apart, clock spring>steering angle sensor>turn signal switch>cruise control switch>steering wheel adjustment switch. To put it all back together is def not an easy task it's easier just buying a complete used steering wheel column switch and swapping it out.

Ugh .. really that difficult? That's not good. I need to add cruise/linguatronic switch. Complete set with linguatronic is not so easy to come by.

Cheers bro. I know about the switch, but went with an assembly of cruise and linguatronic because I thought that would be easier. Do you happen to know if I can retrofit the linguatronic without removing the cruise/linguatronic combo and just adding switch?
When you say it's difficult, that always worries me .. if you think it's difficult, then it must be difficult!

Yeah pretty difficult but you can pull it off I'm sure
. Your car is 05 so it's easier to find a complete column switch, and the linguatronic you can buy separately .....part # 000 545 11 44.
