Interior shaking>?

Do any of you W211 E55 owners have any interior shaking? I understand the ride is firm since its an AMG vehicle, but does the ride have its impact on the interior trim?

How about those with 19inch wheels and with the most mileage? Do you have any intrior shaking whatsoever?

Any expreience/reports welcome.

Thanks guys...

On the freeway, my passenger headrest rattles a little. The dealership is looking into it right now.

The passenger seat rattle is an easy fix.
1) Remove headrest, this is done by pulling up hard, it will just pop out.
2) You want to spread the two metal rods more away from each othere, don't expand to much, you can always add more.
3) Pop the head rest back in place, problem should be fixed.

What this does is increase the resistance inside the seat and gets rid of that annoying rattle.

The only shaking going on in my interior are my passengers when I stomp on the gas pedal! Might need some depends for them too.

Thumbs up Norb's solution works

Agree 100% with Norb's solution. It works.

My car has been rock solid except the occasional noise from the driver's side headrest. Funny enough it didn't exactly sound like a rattle but more like a ticking sound.

Anyway, the trick works and I'm now a happy camper.

Thanks for the tip. The dealer is looking into it right now. If he can't fix it, I will try your trick.

Thanks.

Car is currently at dealer to fix a raft of rattles- thanks for the suggestin on the headrest, as that's one of them. Most noise comng from the pano roof- can't drive the car witht he cover open and top closed- too much rattling. Gnereally, the roof flexes and rattles and is annoying. Tire pressure monitor also dead. Hope to have it back today, then will take it to mount Dunlop winter tires on AMG wheels so that I can (hopefully) drive it all winter.

Thanks guys, it seems that a hard ride is to blame. I just can't stand any interior shaking, in any car, if I bought an Enzo and teh interior shook, which it probably does, I would kill myself!!!!! Or sell the car, sorry too much coffee!
