Any recommendations how to drain gas from tank?
Gents,
I was scheduled tonight for a OE Dyno tune on the CLS but my wife accidentally filled up the tank with 91. Is there a way to drain the tank or will I have to use the old hand pump method? TIA

disconnect the fuel feed line on the fuel rail and turn the key in ignition 2 to prime the pump and let the fuel drain in one of the large water fountain bottles or siphon it from the tank.

12-16 ounces of octane booster will only raise octane 2-3 *points*, i.e. from 92 to 92.3
For example, if you mixed 1 Gallon of 93 Octane Gas + 1 Gallon of Xylene, you are looking at: 93+117/2 = Effective Octane 151.5
From the above model you can determine the octane level in your tank if you add octange boosters.
So if you have 15 gallons on 91 and you add 2 gallons of 105 race gas you effective octane level will be 92.64
(15*91)+(2*105) / 17 = 92.64

Thank you Shardul, I'm too paranoid of screwing up with the fuel line so ill siphon the thing. I really want to take advantage of the c16 as this car is unnaturally slow (traps 114 for a 180mm+shorties on 91)

Fastest way is to remove the large fill hose from the R/R of the fuel tank then stick a large screw driver in the tank to open the flap but this can be messy a lot of gas comes out fast and you need a big drain bucket to catch it. The cleanest way is to hook a fuel hose to the service port on the fuel rail and start the car and let it idle. Will drain in about 20-30 mins. This way you can fill up multiple containers if needed and reuse the gas.
