Help With CD changer wiring
Hi guys,
I've been adding a rear camera to my car, got all the wires run and relays to reverse and accessory, I pulled the CD Dash changer a while back, however there is one cable I'm not sure if it was used, and if so where does it go ? Its a yellow wire with two pins in it.
I have the 3 connections in the dash connected fine, 1- data, 2- optical and 3-3-power, this one is the outlier, and either I blew a fuse, or something is missing as the cd mechanism doesn't do it "transformer" opening sequence, basically pressing the silver button no longer opens it, the Command also doesn't power on any more.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Mine was hanging out too. Mine is MY2005. Not required for the "transformer" act. The key things are Canbus lines and power. Do you have CDs in there that you can try to load?

yes, I think I've blown a fuse in the process, head unit won't come on and the changer makes a bunch of noise but doesn't open, I'll be tracing it out this weekend.

Yep ... head unit needs to be there and communicating .. Head unit is the one that handles communication of button press to actually open that door. Without the head unit, the door won't open.
