I have a 2014 E63 s on order for European delivery June 2 2014. I have relatives in Germany and will be attending a wedding while there, so it seemed like a perfect opportunity to pick up the Benz and enjoy some top end driving on the A24 in the northern part of the country(after some suitable break-in, of course).
My question is this: what oil are these cars delivered with. I know consumption can be an issue, especially with high speed driving (autobahn is unlimited at least 50 KM either way from the in laws house.), and I would rather not mix oils and possibly cause some issues due to additive compatibility across various brands. I did check MB specification 229.5 but it only tells me what oil is acceptable, rather than what is delivered in the car. Does anyone know what oil MB puts into these cars?

Engine oil is Mobil 1 0W-40 fully synthetic used on AMG vehicles

to my knowledge that's true, but maybe check your manual or the label under the hood

the common parts list (linked in my signature) has some options to do oil changes cheaper
