Some problems with my E55
Hi
I am having some problems with my E55 and looking for some assistance.
I thought I was having issues with my crank position sensor but STAR diagnostic has come up with:
1) P2007-008 (B28) Pressure Sensor signal implausible (stored)
2) P2207-008 (B28) Pressure Sensor signal implausible (stored)
3) P201A B6/1 (camshaft hall sensor) electrical fault (P034) stored
4) C2131 Pressure reservoir faulty (current & stored)
Can anyone help me understand the above? I need to know so I can work out what parts to order and have my mechanic fit them.
Also how do I remove the (1 malfunction visit workshop) message on my dashboard?
Regards,
OZZYAMG

Ok it's 5am in Australia. I just cleared all the codes with star and still have fault number 4 from above list which is C2131 pressure reservoir. My car dash still says brake defective visit workahsop.
What are people's thoughts on fixing this?
Surely this isn't the reason for my starting issues as well which is ok when the engine and I are cold at 5am.
Goodnight!

As Shardul says the warning and last code is for SBC you might be lucky and be able to get it reset otherwise its a new SBC pump, that should not cause you starting issues neither should the B28 implausible although it would make for rough running. The starting issue is likely to be the camshaft sensor or the wiring but best to get it checked on STAR with live data first.

Hi
When you say it is the SBC, do you mean the pressure reservoir?
How do I go about resetting it with my Star system?
I have no idea how to clear the dash warning light either?
Any help will be appreciated.

With sds go into sbc, actual values, pressures. Post a pic of what you see. Might need the pressure accumulator that sits on the side of the sbc unit.
If that's it, replace it, bleed it, and then post a video of the car smoking the tires, major burnout.

If your sbc is out of warranty and never been replaced (warranty is 10 years in the US I don't know what it is in australia) , you should price the SBC unit ... it comes with the accumulator and here in the US it often costs less than 15 percent more to buy the whole SBC unit which is just going to time out sooner or later anyway.

Hi
Ok I have taken the gamble and purchased a new pressure reservoir already.
Our cars and all items on these cars are well passed the warranty period in Australia. New Mercedes only have 3 to 5 year warranties in Australia and then you are on your own, a 10 year warranty would be fantastic but my car would have passed that anyway as it is nearly 11 years old.
I would have purchased the complete SBC unit however their was a core charge and as I am having it shipped to Australia the return shipping of the old core would have added to the time of the whole task and then waiting for a refund of the core charge would have been a little in-convenience.
I hope it is just the pressure reservoir and I am guessing it will be.
