The Beast (e55) is Backed Up
Sup all,
So long story short, the left cat completely disintegrated (and the right is getting there), creating all sorts of back pressure (exhaust can only escape from the mani flange on left side ). I guess here are my options:
1) Bend over for the dealer
2) Find some used primary cats (anyone have any lying around?)
3) Turn misfortune into an upgrade opportunity and get some Kleemann headers.
Reaching out to Kleemann USA on this.
e55 is angry we picked up a new 507 and doesn't want to be sold

Headers, as the stock manifolds are a huge restriction and heat issue on our motors.!

Thanks guys for all the great responses!
The Kleemann route is looking dubious right now as Corey is trying to track down a set, apparently the entire planet is out of them?
I was on the verge of putting up a sale feeler up on the car when this happened, but if this ends up being an upgrade (which it's looking like), might drive the car for the summer, then let it go unfortunately (At 5 cars now...)
Looking back on prior posts, like how Kleemann is able to clear the codes to pass emissions. It's looking like with the LTH options, there are a mess of CEL errors, o2 extenders, using STAR, etc. options. Not sure if there is a clear path there.
The bang for the buck option would be best, I think. Headers, tune, and water pump upgrade to keep the value up and keep people interested

Ended up getting just the Kleemann headers and tune. Headers are still out of stock at Kleemann, but managed to get a hold of a SL55 kit from another board member and have Kleemann ship the E55 downpipes along with the ECU on the way back. Maybe I'll hang the SL55 downpipes somewhere in the garage...

The saga continues...
Taking everything apart, the primary cats are toast as suspected, but the secondary cats are clogged with material from the primaries. Are there any options for a mid-pipe w/ cats that an exhaust shop can mate up to the DP from the Kleemanns and the stock exhaust? Always can go with used parts but wanted to see what else was out there.
