Difference between 'Avantgarde' bumper and AMG bumper??
You may have seen my other posting asking if anyone has a front license plate mount. I did get a PM, however the mount part number crosses to an AMG bumper whereas the one I need is for the 'Avantgarde' bumper. Anybody know the difference? They look similar from what I can tell by looking online. Thanks!

Mercedes offers the E class in three different trim levels in Europe - Classic, Elegance, and Avantgarde. The three differ in the standard options content, and also the exterior trim and design. Avantgarde always uses a different front fascia and grill. Regular U.S. models use the elegance trim level, but have higher standard equipment levels than do European Elegance models.
I ran across this while looking for a plate mount for my AMG. The same part number is used to mount a U.S. style plate for either the AMG or Avantgarde bumper. Doesn't make it any less expensive, unfortunately.

When checking the build sheet on my E55 I saw avantgarde listed? Does that mean I have extra lil features over some other E55's??

No, Avantgarde (option code 954) is the base for AMG vehicles. Elegance (955) is the base for "regular" US market cars. Sorry, nothing special!
