R1 Concepts 2-Piece Rotors?
#26
Hats would be aluminum or steel????
I'd have been interested 6 months ago, but I just installed new rotors front and rear. BUT - for the fronts, significant weight savings, and directionally correct vanes would get my attention.

Thanks for all your replies. If you haven't noticed, we only sell 1 piece rotors and are thinking about selling 2 piece rotors pretty soon which is why I wanted to ask you all. The only information I know is that these 2 piece rotors will have aluminum hats, not steel. We don't know what the price will be yet but it will be competitive pricing.
We don't know the weight savings and everything else as well since we are still in the early stages of making these rotors. We have chosen to use the C63 because it's compatible with some of the other AMG cars such as the CLK63 black series, you guys' E63 and so on..One I get more information about these rotors, I will let you all know.

Also, I would be interested in correct directional 1 piece rotors. Directional cooling fins and not just visual slots. I have yet to find any 1 piece rotors that have directional cooling. If I decide to track my car it would be nice to have a affordable rotor to tear up with track pads. When I had my vette I could get track worthy directional rotors for $20.
Preferably blanks too (non cross drilled). I like low cost alternatives, not the other way around, lol.

There's a lot of these cars in the hands of enthusiasts so there's definitely a market for them. However what do you hope to accomplish by saying "hey.. We might make a part that fits your car. We're not sure what advantage it might have over your existing part(weight), and we're not sure how much it'll cost, but who's interested?"
I definitely think you'll be satisfied with the results should you move forward but you need to be better prepared next time before posting IMO.

Anybody want to run fast? I'm selling. If you have to ask how much or how fast you're not the type of customer I'm looking for lol

I apologize if you guys took it the wrong way. We've never offered 2 piece rotors before, only 1 piece rotors. So I wanted to go on the forums where we are vendors on and ask around to see which vehicles would be interested in 2 piece rotors. Since most AMG cars do use 2 piece rotors, I thought I would ask on here as well. Which is why I made this thread to get an opinion from the users here on the forum to see if any of you would be interested if we were to create our own 2 piece rotors. This thread is only to get a vote/opinion since we are only choosing 3 cars at the moment to test.
