Nice seeing some E's running at Etown, and you put down some decent numbers too.

Was this just a shakedown run for the Weistec or am I expecting too much?

I was thinking the same thing. I HOPE its for real and reliable. If so, then I would be very, very interested.

Also, I liked how they blocked off the air filter. They are trying to block off the engine bay heat. That is one of the better ways I have yet seen.

Weistec, if you are on this thread, please chime in.

+1

I was expecting something faster. Mid/High 10s at least if I'm paying 10k for a blower and all associated mods. Not hating just saying.. an ECU'd 600/65 can give you a run..

You guys crack me up.
Shakedown for big blower happened months ago.
10.7...blah, blah, blah.

Let the bashing about IAT and piston damage start in 3,2,1....

All seriousness, nice run!

Don't put words in anyone's mouth here. We're all correct in expecting more out of that set-up after all the hype and expense...

Depending on the modifications, the times seem to be right. Based on the engine bay shot, it is running a stock sized 74mm throttle body and that can be a big restriction when making power with our supercharger system (and even with the stock compressor). Exhaust is also a big factor. The car sounds fairly quiet as well.

This car is equipped with our optional cold air system that we have been offering with our supercharger system. Below are a few detailed pictures of this.

This car is capable of much fast than a 10.80. Benzworks decided to build the engine for this reason. The engine parts are to hold the added power, not make more.

Help me out here where is the cold air coming from or is it using the opening next to the radiator for fresh air?

Our cold air system for the E/CLS55 does use the existing inlet opening on the side of radiator as well as fresh air from the lower grill area under the headlight.

This is why the G55 makes a great daily driver with our parts equipped! AWD and 600HP at the wheels makes its seriously fast from 0-60!
