Hey guys my friend got a 2014 tundra and he is installing a supercharger. He says he will take me out like nothing haha what do you think about this ..does he have a chance ?

Good luck tell him..that supercharger might get his hp the same as you if he has the 381 hp truck. Two things are working against him..he Is about 1200 more lbs and no weight in the rear...

Stock Tundras with the 5.7 seem to run low 14s, according to DragTimes. No way in hell either one of those gained 2 full seconds in the quarter with just the addition of a TRD S/C.

Watched a lowered, bolt on single cab tundra run 8 runs in a row at 14.4 last Saturday night at SAR. I agree no chance they gain 2 whole seconds with just a S/C. Should not be a problem at all.. Honestly why S/C a tundra when you can buy a lightning with a whipple or KB?

Depends what route you want to go and how far you want to take it. I'm honestly not the best person to ask since I am too stock with the Bosch pump, I've spoken to a few people about mods but the real gurus here I'm sure can chime in and help you out! I don't think it would be too beneficial to run a smaller Sc pulley without a tune though if that helps at all! Good luck!

I'd start with the pump and a heat exchanger. It won't gain you back any power, unless your pump has been intermittently working, but if you run him more than once your car won't heat soak. Could you imagine his response if it did? "I beat you 1 out of 3!"

If his truck is a 4 wheel drive, be careful on a short run from a stop. Other than that your good.

I just blew the doors off the new ML63 Bi-turbo the other night. We went for it twice on the green traffic signal and both times it was the same outcome - my E55 put a bus length between us by the end of 3rd gear. No way will a supercharged Tundra touch you if a 5.5L twin turbo monster can't.

Holy **** low 14s pretty fast for a stock pickup truck. Still, it can't get near a stock E55 even with a supercharger.....now that said if he has NOS stickers or TRD badges keep in mind they have gains of 200hp each

Unless he has one of these TRD steering wheels, you should be able to take him down

Hahaha ..I also have a friend with a lightning that claims he can beat me yet he doesn't want to do sum runs lol he's pushing 510 hp and 450 to th wheels ...

The lightning has potential cause if he's putting down 450rwhp he's doing 530+ wtq would be my guess... He might actually get you from a dig if he can hook.. A roll would be close but I would assume you would pull eventually... They aren't too heavy 4600 lbs for a truck, if I remember, I'd guess the truck would do low 12's in the 1/4?
