go OEM CLS wheels and be done - maybe powder coat them bronze or something - keep it simple - or go old school and SL wheels - haven't seen an AMG with new SL wheels yet -

I suggest you keep your HREs and move out of Chicago
Nevertheless the problem is the barrel and sh!!ty Chicago roads
You will run into the same problems over and over again with any 3 PC wheel

All the barrels come from china, they are all the same
Find some BBS LMs and prob run a stepped lip?

I am MUCH happier with Cast wheels. After 2 destroyed sets of HRE and 1 set of (can't remember brand - 3 piece)

These have held up without a single bend or crack Avante Garde M550 - Cheap and bend free.. and I actually liked the spokes a little better that the Vossen

In another post someone asked how I went from respectable 3 piece to Avant Garde.. I forgot to say: I cant bent these... I have hit some whopper pot holes, and these are still round. Within weeks (on any 3 piece) my steering wheel would start to shake. These are inexpensive, probabaly heavy, and some may not like them. That's ok. I was close to going back to 18's because I was so sick of bent ****ing wheels. 3 Piece barrels just don't hold up.

The m550s are real nice
They are pricey for a cast wheel

theyre pretty picky too, I tried to set my Dad's shop up with an account(assuming they are about $800-1000 wholesale) since I knew they would be this year's it brand to have for inexpensive wheels and they wouldn't accept us as an account.

I think it might just be 3 piece, but I honestly don't know if I would do HRE again. Just getting parts for the wheels has been a nightmare and I had to go to outside vendors to fix them.

great advice...

I will probably be posting the HRE's for sale pretty soon. They are 20's

If anyone has any offers just shoot them over. I will start the research on how much these things should go for and if I should have them fixed and sell or just sell as it and let the new owner take care of that while they get them painted (unless a white car lol)

Nice wheels man, I actually just found out about the Rennen CSL line. If you don't mind me asking, what are your offsets and what size tires do you have on them. I have a 03 CL55 and I plan on getting the CSL 1

I've bought 19 inch Vossen CV3's as well - super happy with them as well. Had a few hard bangs and no issues. I spent a very very long time on what wheels to buy - and have no regrets.

The one regret is the Flush mount value stems instead of a stubby to clear the calipers - its a bit of a pain, but I guess tolerable. They look good is the only upside.

What are the specs on these? I believe I've seen somebody else this forum with those same wheels, I'm not sure who it is, they have their pic in their sig. Unless you recently changed your signature haha
