Lowering Module

Hello all, I am new to the forum as you can probably tell but just wanted some insight on the lowering options for the E55. I had looked awhile back for lowering modules and found the Renntech one however looked more recently again and found this one from ProgRama's website. (I know that they sell them to Renntech...)

http://www.programainc.com/product_d...aspx?sf=LCMR01

It seems to be considerably cheaper than any I have seen.. is this correct for the car? can anyone vouch for it? Thanks!

Just installed one from Programma myself and its working great. FYI at one point ProgRama made the lowering module for Renntech if that means anything to you. Call and ask for Samantha! she'll hook you up

I have the Programa V2 and love it. Has worked flawlessly for me for the last almost two years.

Previous owner installed a Renntech LCM in my car and the remote is identical to the one pictured in the link, so I would assume they are the same unit. Works flawlessly and I play with it constantly.

Hey Guys. What is the advantage of having the Renntech or this ProgRama lowering module as opposed to having your car lowered with Star ? Is it that you can do it on the fly ? Does anyone know if Star can lower the car and also program the "raised" function at a specific height or that is always some kind of fixed/percentage value of the normal height?

Thanks!

With the ELM you can raise and lower when you please. Star is just once and done. ELM more for "show" purpose, drive at a nice height then dump it parked lol

So I can raise it whenever I want to the stock height and get rid of issues of tires wearing too fast when lowered ? Is there any harm/effect to the reliability of struts ?

Thanks in advance.

Right that's exactly what I thought. Doesn't that wear the suspension air bags faster? It seems like it would..

Hey guys, bumping this thread to ask another question regarding the ProgRama V2 ELM. From what I understand the maximum limit the car can be lowered just depends on the size of the wheel? So the amount you can lower the car isn't limited by the AIRMATIC system itself?

I'd like to know cause if I can almost lay frame with the ELM on stockers than this will be an immediate investment lol Anyone think they can help out? Thanks again

The Programa ELM allows for up to 2" of drop from stock height. It won't lay the car out but it gets low enough for most. If needed, you can also run lowering links and an ELM if you desire going super low.

Thanks for the reply Nick, so that way I can probably lower the car an inch or so, and be able to almost lay frame with the ELM continuing to drop the car the other 2 inches or so. I'm trying to compete with all the guys running bags lol

Raising this thread from the dead... Question, does the auto speed adjust function work on the E55?
