Hey guys i have a quick question,

If i install a LTH to my 63 without getting a tune, will it cause my CEL to show?

Im planning on installing LTH Primary cats delete. but dont think i will be getting a tune right after the install.

Hi, yes you will get a cel. The first O2 sensor reads for the air/fuel ratio and the second O2 sensor reads for catalyst efficiency. If you do not code out your rear O2 sensors then you will get a cel for catalyst efficiency below threshold. I would wait for your tune. It will run a closed loop for air/fuel and cause poor gas mileage. Do them at the same time or tune first. I don't think O2 sensor spacers would work either.

No problem. Once you get them installed and tune though, we will definitely need a sound clip/video! Better have a wide open throttle pull too! Haha

Ken, get the headers and tune from EC and all will be well. You will love the sound and the additional power. Also, while you are at it, get the headers JetHot coated and replace the motor mounts when you do the install.

Soooo, how does the jet hot coating help? And why do the motor mounts need to replaced? I'm just asking cuz I'm looking into buying new headers and a tune? Anything else you recommend?

Jet Hot coating will help prevent corrosion to the headers and help keep in some of the heat in the header. It is advisable to at least check your motor mounts when replacing the headers because they are right there and prone to go bad on these cars. When you have to replace the motor mounts it is much easier (if not possible) to do it without the headers installed.
