Sirius Radio activated yet?
Just a few questions about Sirius. I was just wondering if any of the '04 E55 guys had the Sat radio button on their cars yet, and if they did, did you activate it?
If activated...how does it work...does the artist and album info display on the main screen?
Hows the quality of sound?
Just idle wondering on my part to help me keep my sanity while I want the approx. 60 days yet for my car to arrive.

The main display will show the stream title.
One of the soft keys will say info, when you press it the main display will show the song title and artist. The instrument display will show the stream title.
You will love the sound quality, not to mention the lack of commercials.

Rob,
Thanks for giving all of us an early insight into the Sirius option. I assume there will be separate presets for Sirius stations. Any idea on how many? Also, any not so obvious cool features that come with the Sirius option? Thanks.

10 presets 1 though 0 they list by stream name on the screen.
Seperate bass treble and balance setting seperate from other audio settings.
You will be able to tune by catagory...Rock, Jazz, Entertainment...
Look at www.siriusradio.com and you will see what they are.
By pressing the star button you can direct enter a stream number.
Your clock will be correct wherever you are, and it even changes when you cross a time zone. (This might be a NAV feature, I am not sure)

I do not know of any retrofit. Yo can however use one of several shuttle type devices to modulate the signal onto your FM. Yes, it is not as good and does not show on the display, but it is still much better than static on long trips.

The antenna is actually quite small now, about the size of a silver dollar and a quarter of an inch tall.
Not the huge hockey puck you might have seen from the first gen stuff.

As high as possible on the roof, and in some cases on the trunck lid.
But, if you have the option, high on the roof, centered in the back of the vehicle.
It needs a clear view of as much of the sky as possible.
