Help Limp mode again "video inside"
So I just picked up my car from my local Indy and I'm still going into limp mode :-/ he replaced the ESP and the front Sam he was gonna replace the throttle body but was unable to source a replacement. These are the following codes the car has given me.
P0221
P2221

I'm curious as to why your mechanic is jumping straight to the computers themselves. Does he have a stars unit as it would probably give more info on this situation.

They specialize in just mercedes they have all the star diagnostic computers. They told me to just replace the throttle body and it'll fix itself but being that they replaced all this other stuff and it made no difference other then make it worse I have little faith in anything they say soo now I'm here lol.

Just bring it by a dealer and get a proper diagnosis. It might save you from more headache in the long run. There are plenty of good MB Indy shops out there but for every one good one there is ten bad ones. Even if they make you feel good when you go there, they obviously can't fix your car. Where are you located? Possably sombody can recomend a shop in the area.

Wait a sec.. When you start the car in the second video, your temp in cluster shows 185F... I assume this is the outside air temp, which means your sensor has fallen out of the grille and is laying in the engine bay (probably right under the radiator).. Mine fell out once and car ran like ****. I (again) assume the ECU uses this temp signal for other calculations.. could it be something so simple????
+1 on dealer.. i would not waste effort on relacing TB until you get a clear diagnosis.. I would start with that temp sensor.

I'm gonna try unplugging the ambient temp sensor serif it fixes anything also quick quest do the s500 and e55 share the same throttle body I have one here ? Just wanna make sure before I pull it out

Temp sensor is a good place to start and cheap too. Bramage is correct this reading is used by engine ecu on start up. Other than that map sensor would be on the short list. Good Luck

Yeahh I just tried the throttle body from my moms car s500 and it worked but I had to peddle the car to keepnit running. drove it around the block a few times and it runs fine no esp malfunction but I turned it off and restarted it and back to the same issue its like it has to relearn it each time.
And I unplugged the ambient tempeture sensor and it still reads 185 ????
