How many miles are they good for?

With these cars being ~10 years old, it can be difficult to find one with very low miles and has been babied all its life. I plan on keeping the car at least 3 years and will put 60k miles on it in that time. It will be my DD and needs to be reliable although I am decent with a wrench if something does need to repaired.

I plan on either buying one that is modded or doing mods myself. Low to mid 11's in the 1/4 mile would be my goal. This is not optional and is one of the main reasons why I'm looking into this particular car.

So if I buy an e55 with let's say 70k miles, in 3 years I'd be well over 120k and I'm just scared of being stuck with a car that cost more to keep running than it's worth.

As for price, I'd spend up to $25k for the right e55, but at that price it would need to be pretty much complete as far as mods go with a well documented history.

So how many miles are these cars good for? Are these 200k+ mile cars if routine maintenance is done?

There are many , many members that have way over 100K on thier E55`s. If you are a decent wrench and can keep up with service, use the forum to find deals on parts, then you can more than exceed your 120K goal.

Thank you for the responses. Glad to hear these cars will keep running as long as the services are done.

I like the car in Dallas, just curios is the front end swap was done because of an accident.
