Does anybody what part this is?

The metal box thingy with all those holes and the screw across the middle?

I was just checking on it today and it got very hot, so I want to know what it is, please help me

Looks like the amplifier for the head unit? Usually a disc changer is under it.

The original head unit is gone, can I disconnect that little box? , thanks guys

It's not the amp. The amp is bolted vertically to the quarter panel ahead of the trunk spring.

You should be fine if you disconnect it. If you get any errors connect it back
