Spring rates - Custom coilovers for E55
So I know Coilover kits exist for the E class, I have had terrible customer service from BC Racing and its largest dealer(Import image racing) on a previous set so want nothing to do with them.
Having said that, I am working on a set with ISC suspensions to develop a kit for the E55. Who has suggestions on some spring rates?
I figure despite the similarities between 211s I would think an E55 kit should be slightly more stiff?

I love the spring rate on the BC Coil Overs. They nailed it.
I got mine from IAP, and I was not happy with the follwing bulls6t as outlined in the other thread:
So typical Over-commit / Under Deliver
BC Direct was straight up with me and seemed ok. I just did not like the marketing bs.
896lbs/in (16kg/mm) front spring rate
840lbs/in (15kg/mm) rear spring rate
..

- Parts listed on-line show in stock (They are not) - I'm tempted to sue Amazon
- After order they said 2 - 3 weeks (It wasn't - it was 4 weeks)

I am using 18k front springs and 15k rear springs on BC coilovers. I initially wanted 17k rear springs but couldn't have that without a lot of customization. Now however I am glad I didn't go stiffer in the rear, the car is quite nose heavy and the increased front rates help balance it out quite a bit. I ordered mine from a contact (BC dealer) from my Lexus days, got it in 4 weeks with the 18k front springs. I think this combo is a great setup for balance

Not that i currently have coilovers on the car, but i personally would replicate the KW V2 spring rates, but a bit stiffer / higher rates.
That's the route i'm planning to go "if" i end up doing the switch. Only problem is... with the quick 2 minute search that i just did, i can't seem to find KW's spring rates.

I will try the 16/15kg set up with the street sport kit from ISC

You Could Contact Swift springs with your measurements and desired spring rates. They maybe able to help you out. Myself and others used them for BC and Megan coilovers in the Mini community.

You cannot change the rear spring rates on the BC kit without some customization. The diameter at the body of the car is smaller (narrower) than the diameter in the lower control arm. I could be wrong but I think it is 2.5" at the body and 3" in the lower control arm
So a simple swift spring change is not possible, I tried
