A/C seats?

So I turned the ac seats on for the first time the other day and nothing happened. The lights light up blue on all different levels and if I put my ear to the back of the seats I can hear the fans come on but the seats do not get cold and I cannot feel any air coming out of the perforations. My brother has a caddy truck and you can really feel the air coming out of his seat, granted its brand new but I'm pretty sure I'm suppose to feel something... I left them on for over 30 min and no difference in temperature to the touch.....anybody have any ideas?

The fans are pretty weak, there is a thread on upgrading them if you search. And it's not actually "AC", it's just fans.

Oh yea that's right they are "ventilated " seats . So basically the fans just move air and do not cool, got it, explains why the seats to get colder to the touch

Actually, they suck at blowing and blow at sucking.

I remember reading somewhere online about a company that makes an insert that actually cools. Not a cheap/easy mod, but it would be awesome if you lived in one of those swamp-crotch states.

This place is a joke.
Put a plastic bag on the seat and prepare to be "wowed" when you turn the fan on. [note:sarcasm]

The Cadillacs and Lincolns use a thermoelectric cooler rather than just a vent like MB. Anybody swap STS-V seats into a Mercedes?

Car free at the moment
They do work, but it's subtle. It's just fans that move cabin air through the perforations in the leather. If the seats are hot from sitting in the sun, the fans will cool them down in a couple of minutes. They never get cool to the touch, they just stay comfortable. It's not earth shattering, but it a lot more comfortable than nothing. I do like that it's silent; I've been in other cars where the ventilated seats sound like a jet revving it's engines.

The ventilated seats will keep my backside from sweating? I don't come away with an ice cube for a back, but at least I don't come away with a sweaty back.

I always wondered why I didn't feel any cooler.
