2006 E55 - Eurocharged Stage 1
I thought I would take this thread and post some mods as they happen. The first one I did was to buy a Bluetooth device from Amazon and mount it in the ashtray. It works very well. I took a piece of plexiglass wrapped it in leather and cut an aluminum mounting plate. I also ran the aux cable. If the charger is unplugged the ash tray can close, however, when charging the Bluetooth device, the ashtray must be open.
The second mod was to black out my grill. I separated the chrome overlay. Sanded it, primed it, then painted it a gloss black. I used a matte clear coat to dim some of the gloss. It is more of a semi-gloss now and contrasts well with the gloss plastic overlay. I also mounted the grill badge. I cut some vinyl to separate the letters of the AMG.

License plate holder was from moweraxle. The package included the tow hook screw and the mounting plate. It was $90ish and great craftsmanship.
