What is different in v3 (I looked at Joe's site and cannot find any mention of it) ?

I am very interested in a KC as I measured my IC coolant temps yesterday after just casual driving the coolant temperature was 101* (ambient was 82)....I am going to do a few runs today and measure, but my guess is the coolant will be north of 130* (compared to 50 - 70* with a KC)....

This is from Joe, on what's different/better

"We use a different valve assy. It’s a TXV design. It adjust according to temperature feedback, as opposed to pressure differential.

will this fit in the engine bay of an W211 E55 ?
I tried to look at some vids, but not sure where this one is designed to sit.

Here is where I mounted mine just behind the Distronic puck. Its like 4 bolts total to remove that bracket even if you don't have Distronic. Simple unbolt place it there hook it up. Most don't even notice it.

Then it feeds my trunk tank to give me a nice supply of COLD water at all times and temps. Nothing like 55-60* IATs in 95* weather. Then spray meth for good measure!!

Thanks, how important is the trunk tank, with the killer chiller ?
I was thinking I could make some sort of custom shape reservoir up front, if at all.
I realise with the split system it will need some sort of tank/ cap breather system, or is the extra capacity so there is more cool water ready to go, as the a/c does not cool it all down fast enough ?

You need the tank for capacity, without the tank the KC is not worth it

ok thanks what capacity do you think your tank is ?
I will see how much room there is in the engine bay, or does someone make an engine bay tank ?
If I must remove my spare for a tank, I may as well make a big one !

Sorry just saw the fist post had engin ebay tank, now going to search to see what it looks like.

Mine is alittle over 2.5 gallons, recommended is 2-4 gallons, 3 being best(or so the claims)

Don't make the tank too big, stick with the recommended
