Brand new **KINCAID KILLER CHILLER + FTP ENGINE BAY INTERCOOLER TANK** LATEST VERSION

Boys,

I bought directly from Joe to install in my CLS55, but I don't think I will, I paid over $1k for it, it is still in box, I'll let it go for $850 shipped. Again, it is brand spanking new, latest version, you can double check with Joe about the 3rd being the latest version, something about it being way easier to install and more efficient (sorry, I'm not Denroll, I don't know how stuff like this actually works)

I also bought the FTP engine bay intercooler tank, it is $459 plus shipping, and it takes months to receive. I will let it for for $380 shipped.

Pics of the items, I didn't take the condenser from the box to not mess with all that foam pop corn

By the way, I'm shipping from Costa Rica.

Should be the first mod on these cars IMO. 39 degree water running through your IC on a 100+ degree day is pretty awesome

We need a viable a/c swap option. I realized this today while driving my seventeen year old Camry which has a/c that shames the Benz.

Not the greatest but I stay cool enough on a 100 degree day even with this mod. Cant you use a different gas to get it cooler ? I know they recommend that with these Killer Chillers. I guess I'm old. I had cars without AC for the first 10 years I drove.

There are several large companies that design and manufacturer aftermarket kits...I believe at least 2 of which are located in AZ.

To those running the killer chiller, are you putting in the same volume of R134 as a stock car or does the kit require just a little more to maintain stock cooling? I am curious as to how much the cabin cooling performance diminishes from adding the system.

As someone who lives in an oppressively hot location and also considering a KC I'm interested in feedback from current owners..

I must look into this. A black on black car in Arizona is tough on any a/c system.

I have gone through all kinds of different amounts of freon and even used an industrial freon I think it was super freeze r22a which our car could use and at the end of the day went back to 134a, every car will be different, at this time I have 2.7 of 134a and it's good but remember in south fl right now we can easily get to 97* like today then compound 80% humidity and our ac system is fighting but still can keep iats and cabin good, not freezing cold in the cabin but good.

When using the KC in a hot humid climate your cabin will suffer a bit, face it the E has bad ac system. I have also helped a few other guys with their KC systems and the amount of freon varied with all of us, from 2.3 to 2.8 ( with 2.8 or more be careful because your high side will be scary high)

The SL and CL on the other hand has better ac systems and can handle the KC quite well, so anyone with those models with have no ac cabin issues at all.

Could the AC be changed over to one from a SL or CL ? I am sure those parts would be pretty cheap used.
