Nut size for headers..Im being lazy

Who knows, off the top of their head, the size of the nut for the headers?

I am asking because I want to secure down the thermotec header blanket to the protruding header bolts (or hinge on it) and use a nut to secure it to the bolts.

You are right.

Jack, use new header nuts, as they are copper and deform easy.

I sure hope all of this works. Doing this to lower engine bay temp, in helps of improving IATs.....we will see how it goes.

I think they are M6x1.0mm

If you need me to I can check in the morning. I have a used engine sitting in the way at the shop.

Some of us cut slots in the front engine panel to match the factory V12 front lower engine cover.

Just verified. The exhaust studs and nuts are M6x1.0mm
