Jerk in low rpms right after pulley install

All,

Just had my S/C pulley put on and now on occasion am getting a jerk under low load/rpms. It only happens now and then, but is annoying when it does.

Any thoughts on why this would occur with a new pulley (issue with pulley itself or possible install issue?).

FYI, I did not have the add any shims that came with pulley.

2003 SL55,2020 GTC ,2017 GTS sold ,2002 G500 Sold,2003 SL500 Sold,
Is it a smaller pulley I'm guessing ,if so your spinning S/C faster now so it's gonna drag motor down more when it first engages ,welcome to the world of modding lol,I believe thats what your feeling

Normal from what I'm told with the smaller pulley. You likely are getting it between 1st and 2nd gear swap when easy on the throttle I presume?

Make sure the pulley is properly gapped.

Supercharger engagement is more harsh due to smaller pulley. Going to have to get use to it. Just pretend you are in Madmax when the supercharger engages and floor it.

2004 Mercedes E55 AMG
I have a 2004 E55 AMG. When slowing to a stop (and likely in downshift between 2nd and 1st in stadard or comfort, but more often in standard), there is a surge. It has become less frequent, but is still very concerning. Sometimes the surge is sto strong that it is dangerous (almost launching the car into the car in front or into a curb). The dealer (and one good independent) are puzzled. The dealer, of course, wanted to replace the transmission. Could this be a pulley problem? I bought the car in December. This issue came with the car.

Sounds like your torque converter may be late to disengage.

Alrighty then. Looks like I'm going with the Madmax analogy then. Thanks for the feedback.

Mine does this as well, has ever since I got the car with 30K miles. I believe this can be tuned out, as when I had a EC tune this issue did not exist.
