Locking lug nut part # or availability??

Called the local dealer today and they told me that the locking lug nuts for the 2003-2004 E55 was not in their system and currently unavailable. I cannot believe that no one has locking lug nuts on their E55 here. I'm not sure if the E320 and E500 have the same lugs and the parts guy didn't say. Let me know the part # if any of you guys have these lug nuts on their car as an accessory from the dealer. Even an aftermarket solution would be fine. Thanks.

Dammit, deja vu. I answered this and it got lost. Anyhow, I don't want to retype the whole thing, so I will give you a short synopsis:

0) E55 lugs seem very short! Probably shorter than E500...
1) McGard sucks
2) Mercedes uses McGard
3) McGard for Mercedes generally cannot be purchased except through Mercedes parts outlets
4) Gorilla are much better, their design does not promote peeling of the chrome after use, plus they are easier to use especially in a high stress situation (side of road, rainy day, etc.)
5) Gorilla usually makes a lock for every lug they make, however the short E55 lugs don't seem to have a corresponding lock in their catalog, so call them to double check
6) You may want to try using Gorilla SD (small diameter) lugs, as they work in a similar fashion to the lock

Hope that is helpful!

I have McGard # MCG-28018 and they work fine. Got em through summitracing.com for $28. Dealer wanted $97. Take 10 minutes to put on.

I'd do without the locks. Cause the thief knows that you keep the key inside the car somewhere, they'll just highjack you or steal the car outright.
