Removing 10yr old clear bra!

Let me just tell you guys this stuff is a pain! It's baked on and cracking making the front end look terrible. I couldn't take it anymore so i'm finally tackling this job. So far I did the headlights which makes the car look 10x better already. Wish me luck!

Im using graphxoff gel to remove as much of it as I can and then using 3m adhesive removal to get the rest.

Is it possible to just peel everything off and then use the dual-action orbital to remove the adhesive?

Are you using heat? It's a lot easier with heat, the plastic stays together better since it's more malleable.

I've tried everything. Nothing really works. If I just try peeling it, it will just break and come off in bits and pieces. If I use heat, I can scrap it off but the residue glue is still on there and is a b*tch to get off.

Wow, paint looks much better with it off. You should consider using a very light polish on it with a machine DA polisher, or by hand, to get it looking even better!

To remove the adhesive get "rapid remover" it's a bit $$ but spray and let it sit and it will wipe right off.

I don't recommend that. You want the paint surface to be clean of any bonded contaminates before taking a DA polisher to it. Get as much of it off as you can by hand, and then use a clay bar with detailing spray/lube to get rid of the rest. Once your paint surface is as smooth as a baby's skin, then you can safely polish the surface with a DA polisher and a light-medium polish.

I've read about this. I should order it and try. Can't hurt at this point.

I used a fabric steamer to take off the lens protectors on my car and it worked well.

If you use heat and try peeling it, it should come off in larger sheets. Any remaining glue can be removed. Pour a generous amount of adhesive remover on a rag and press the rag on the bumper for a minute, then start rubbing

That only worked on non sun dried clear bras. I've tried it and it doesn't work.
