Weistic kit with OEM CP or Can It Be with Higher CP?

I am seriously considering the Weistic Kit. But, I currently have an 178 ASP CP. I gave away my OEM CP, never thought I would ever need it again. Does anyone know (before I call Weistic on Monday):

1. of anyone w this kit on their E55, where their CP was not oem?

2. if you can have an higher CP, like a 178 ASP CP, with this kit?

Thanks ahead with any response.

You can keep your lower pulley. Get a bigger upper. It's all about ratios. If you want you can sell your lower and recoup some money

I'd also take the opportunity to pin the next crank pulley you put on while you have it off.

Wonder what size upper I would need with my current pinned 195.

It's a calculation and depends on how hard you want to spin the sc. But it would have to be massive with a 195 lower.

I did not know that Weistecs kit had or allowed different pulleys for their sc. Good to know.

I'm running a 170mm/62.5mm combo with my Weistec set up. With my mods, that'll translate to about 20 psi at sea level

A larger supercharger pulley is a good thing, more surface area and wrap circumference for the belt so you're less likely to slip. IMO, you're better off starting with a large CP

Sure does. Keep your 178 and run a 65mm sc pulley if you want to spin it at max efficiency. But dunno if your motor will like it. This is assuming a 6500rpm rev limit

170mm? Are you running Weistec CP? That's a very good ratio. You are right around the sc max efficiency

Yes that is true but there's a limit. You don't want to be running a 100mm sc pulley lol. I think the biggest they offer is 65mm. If you are revving to 6500 rpm and you run a 195 CP and 65 SCP you are over the max efficiency of a Whipple 2.9

Well, it looks like I have to use the OEM CP with this kit.
