*HELP ME* Power Loss- NOT IC PUMP

Hey guys,

I recently purchased an 2003 E55 AMG, 100k, Kleemann K4 package (640hp/670tq)..

I drove the car home from Michigan to MD 500+ miles with no issues , map sensor code came on halfway thru after getting gas .. But cleared it the next day & it never came back .. There is currently no codes ! The car ran great pulle hard & ran like it has 640hp.. Then one day I noticed the car felt slower, still fast but a lot slower.. So I went out to make sure I wasn't just used to the power..

Ran a couple of cars on the hwy that I had run previously a week before, I was winning the week prior , now I'm losing by a lot..

The car is slower consistently, not just after a few hard pulls it's always slower .. I made some pulls with another 03 E55 220k with full exhaust & tune .. He pulled me the same night I re ran those cars..

I swapped to a new ic pump , check the fuse & the relay .. Still missing power.. I hear the chirp sometimes so I know the s/c working..

I'm going to have it put on STAR , & get a printout within a few days..

Please help me!! There are no close shops that dyno/fix Mercedes near by!

Also had hooked up a nice scanner from my friends job checking iat's , it was around 70* out & my iat's were around 100* cruising && a 30-75ish pull I was at 125, iirc.

Welcome to the forum. I always test out my car on the drag strip to see what difference/improvement has taking place, especially when adding some mods. I thought my car was running perfectly also, not until I took it down to the track, and find solution to the problem. You will surely get the help you needed on this forum. What part of MD do you live?

Lower boost maybe boost leak, IC piping come loose somewhere?

It may. I've owned a few boosted cars and when the connection in the IC piping comes loose somewhere there's substantial power loss of course but I never got a CEL but this was lower. I did have the Upper IC Pipe come loose and that did throw a CEL.

these cars have a air to water system so if a IC pipes comes loose you will loose liquid not the charged air

Taking my car to MB Dealership tomorrow, they're going to complete a STAR diagnostics..

I'm praying they see something odd that can help lead me to my issue, fingers crossed.

i was also going to suggest a few minor things...

did you replace plugs/coils?
did you bleed your IC system when you replaced it?
have you checked/replaced your S/C belt? possible slippage?
Do you have an aftermarket HE? not sure if K4s come with a larger one...

Yes ic system is bled. Belt is fine. I have an aftermarket HE.

Unhooked battery to reset ecu.. Car felt faster but I could be wrong ..

There was a rough bucking/thudding at idle last night when I was sitting at a light..

No CEL tho..

Does it idle rough?

Have you checked the IAT when boosting?

The 2 rear cats are still installed..

It doesn't idle rough except twice when it bucked/thudded a few times at idle, then went back to normal smooth idle after a few seconds of bucking.

Yeah IAT's look normal at WOT.

I have not done a compression test, I'm scared too.

Took the car out with a buddy , made a pull.. Went home disconnected the battery.. Went back out made a pull, ESP malfunction .. My belt came off..

Could this have been my power loss issue the whole time?
