C63 Muffler - Install Question

Finally landed a pair of mufflers that are coming off a 2012 C63. For those who have swapped on their E55's, any tips when they arrive for the install?

I have stock headers that I may or may not swap at some point. So for now I plan to keep the primary cats and remove the resonator. With the resonator removed should I do straight pipes or an X-pipe in it's place?

It takes a decent amount of custom work to have them fit right

Found a video on YouTube...looks like it will need a custom adaptor to move where the hanger connects. I've good a good local shop, so hopefully it won't be too bad for them.

Just need to decide what in place of the resonator. I assume most would say remove it with the new set-up.

yes depending on the shop it shouldn't be difficult. Its easily achievable with experience of tech obviously. Place X pipe were your resonators are and you'll be good.

Ok, let me see if I have this correct after some reading here. If I ONLY delete the resonator then I don't need an X-Pipe as the secondary cats have a crossover built in?

I really had not thought about deleting the secondary cats.

You'll have to cut off one of the hangers from each muffler. The remaining one will go into the stock rubber mounting thing.

My guy cut off the hangers and welded new ones in the right spot. I was in and out of there in less than an hour.
