Help: brake and gas

It's been an interesting year for the wagon. Front strut replaced; then rear shock drive shock absorber; then passenger side airmatics, which required both rears replaced with arnott; then someone did a hit a run on me in the parking lot and that was $400 to fix.

Help #1: Now, the brake wear light remains on. I changed the pads on all four wheels and replaced the 3 brake pad sensors. But, the red light on the brake wear remains? I have tripled checked all and with star but no solution and break wear light remains. I don't understand why. Any help would be great. Anybody know the answe? I have NOT changed the emergency brakes. Is there a brake sensor on the emergency brake?

Help #2: I can not fill up my tank. When I try to fuel up, the pump keeps clicking off. I can only pump 6-9 gallons into the tanks. Shardul believes it could be the fuel tank vent valve. No leaks and no fuel smell. Anybody experience this? And, where is this vent valve?

Thanks ahead with any response.

I can't help with your problem, but that hit and run makes me mad for you. What damage was done?

I hope they died in a house fire that night.

#2 - I've had this happen from time to time - always thought it was the gas pump. Easy thing to do is pull the nozzle out a bit such that its not clicking off. After a period you can jam the whole nozzle in.

Check the evap system in the rear passenger fender liner. If the solenoid is stuck closed, the pressure wont let you fill the tank up.

Well, I solved the brake issue. It was a brake sensor. It was a brand new aftermarket brake sensor that I got for the rear brakes. The two front ones I got from the dealer. But, the rear brake sensor I got from an auto parts store. I noticed the section of the new aftermarket brake sensor, for the rear, the section that goes into the brake pad had its wires a little exposed. It was not fully covered with plastic cover like the OEM (I hope that makes sense). I showed it to the local dealer parts dept and they said I should not be able to see any exposed part of the wire (for the section that goes into the pad). Once I got the new oem sensor, all was good and no more brake pad wear message.

I checked... but how can you tell if it's closed or open?

I can now fill up my tank. I got a replacement fuel tank purge valve and fuel tank charcoal filter (the two connects to each other) from Shardul...who else would I get it from. I got a used one from Shardul. Took me 45 mins to replace and the problem is now resolved. Here are some pics to show the two parts.

Thanks to you. Strange...I guess I am the only one that has had this problem. At least, the fix was easy.
