Anyone know this car
Long story short I have a friend that tends to get bored and likes to buy projects. Anyway he is looking at this "lightly" vandalized e55, so I figured I'd see if anyone on here knows anything about it.

The paint on this 12 year-old 4.6 HSE still shows

Ya I saw all the errors too. I didn't talk to the guy but my friend did and I guess he cleared it up but I agree seems sketchy with the whole ad being about multiple different cars.

Honestly in person inspection is the only way to do it, and also please do not forget that registering a CA salvage certificate is not always so easy to do here in CA or other states. Triple check all paperwork!

That is something I know nothing about nor do I think he does. The car will be getting register in Kansas once fixed assuming all goes well. What all should he be looking for as far as title the car.

Get a copy of all paper work associated with the car, and the biggest difference is the ca title. If you get a pink/yellow (super bright) you have a salvage certificate vs a title that has salvage history. Two different things, get more information on the car and I'd be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

Would've gone to check out this car out for the forum if I had known sooner. As I live probably less than 20 miles away from San Carlos.
All in all, without knowing the details, at $10,200, it's probably not a bad deal if it is mechanically sound.

Ya it seems it will be mechanically sound with just cosmetic problems but only time will tell. In the end I think the price was fair for a fully optioned 55. I'm sure the new owner will become a member and update on how things go.
